Osmanthus is a small shrub that is known for its fresh fragrance. The Osmanthus fragrans plant is native to Asia (specifically China). You can find this shrub lining the streets all over China, where it has been cultivated for over 2500 years. This essential oil is very costly. This is because it usually takes about 7000 pounds of the herbal plant’s flowers to produce 35 ounces of the essential oil. More recently, Osmanthus essential oil has become exceedingly popular for its scent and natural benefits.
